Alexander
Kent's popular Richard Bolitho novels are again available in the U.S. through
McBooks Press. All volumes 1-24 are in current release. Unfortunately,
the series goes downhill near the end, but as a body of work:
Outstanding! I have read them all and will post reviews of the missing few as
time allows.
The series
does not have the in depth character development of the O'Brien books or
the sailing details of books by Pope, but they are long on exciting action. We
also highly recommend books of this genre by Fredrick Marryat, Richard Woodman,
James Hall, Dewey Lambdin, C. Northcote Parkinson, and James L. Nelson.
