WORLD WAR II FICTION

"The Last Lieutenant" by John J. Gobbel

A German spy takes the place of a Navy cryptographer and causes all kinds of problems during the fall of the Philippine Islands on the outset of America's entry into WWII. This is a well thought out book with lots of thrills and devious turns, and interesting characters. It also describes accurately many historical events and people that give the reader the additional bonus of learning something.
