NAPOLEONIC WARS

The Ramage Chronicles by Dudley Pope

These are a great set of books following the saga of Nicolas Ramage of the Royal Navy through the Napoleonic wars starting in the late 1700s. I rate these right up there with the works of Patrick O'Brien, Alexander Kent, C. S. Forester, Frederick Marryat, Richard Woodman, James L. Nelson, and last but not least, Dewey Lambdin. These books are mostly out of print, although a few are listed at amazon.com. The few I have, I found at used book stores. So if you are lucky enough to run across any, snap them up, because they are a real find. Below is a list of all the ones I know to have been written and I will review them as I can get them.

1) Ramage
2) Ramage and the Drum Beat
3) Ramage and the Freebooters
4) Governor Ramage, R. N.
5) Ramage's Prize
6) Ramage and the Guillotine
7) Ramage's Diamond
8) Ramage's Mutiny
9) Ramage and the Rebels
10)  The Ramage Touch
11) Ramage's Signal
12) Ramage and the Renegades
13) Ramage's Devil
14) Ramage's Trial
