A a hunk of earth surrounding a small West Virginia mining town is transported back in time to the year 1632 to central Europe (now Germany) by cosmic tricksters. This puts the small community right in the middle of the 30 year's war. This was an awful time and armies ranged over Europe slaughtering each other and any peasants that happened to be around.
The West Virginians, armed with modern weapons, a
historical knowledge of the ear, and their own agenda for survival set out to
make things right. An interesting and fun read.
