ANCIENT TIMES - FICTION
"Stonehenge" by Bernard Cornwell
Ancient England and warring tribes struggle for survival. The Gods are central
in the lives of the people and they do everything they can to please the Gods.
This is the story of a vision by a few men to erect a sacred temple to honor the
Gods and the struggles they faced to build the temple, known today as
Stonehenge.
This is an interesting and entertaining book and
worth reading, but not one of Cornwell's best. I wish he would have spent the
time finishing the Starbuck Chronicles (you know, the American Civil War series
that has been languishing for several years).
